1.Who we are
Pyrguard ("Pyrguard", "we", "us") is a fire risk assessment auditing service operated by Fire Safety Partnership. Contact: d.kirk@firesafetypartnership.co.uk.
"You" means the individual using the service and, where you use it in the course of work, the organisation you represent. If you accept these terms on behalf of an organisation you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2.What the service does
Pyrguard reads a fire risk assessment document you upload and produces an audit report commenting on the document against published standards and legislation, including PAS 79, BAFE SP205, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Building Safety Act 2022, together with standards relevant to the building type you select.
The audit is a review of the document you supply. It is not an inspection of the premises, it is not a fire risk assessment, and it does not replace the judgement of a competent fire risk assessor. See the Disclaimer page for the full limits of the service.
3.Accounts
- You must give accurate registration details and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, including uploads made by colleagues you give access to.
- You must be 18 or over and using the service for business purposes.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or is used to attack or overload the service.
4.Payment, plans and renewals
- Prices are shown on the Pricing page in pounds sterling and are exclusive of any tax that may be added at checkout.
- One-off checks are charged per assessment and consumed when an audit is generated.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled, and include the check allowance stated for that plan. Unused allowance does not carry over.
- You can cancel a subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
- Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.
- Failed payments may result in suspension of access until the balance is settled.
5.Refunds
Because a check is delivered immediately and in full, you agree that the digital service begins as soon as you submit a document and, to the extent permitted by law, you lose the right to cancel once an audit has been generated.
If the service fails to produce a report, produces a report for the wrong document because of our error, or is unavailable for a prolonged period, contact us and we will re-run the check or refund it.
6.Your documents and your rights
You keep all rights in the documents you upload. You grant us only the licence needed to store, process and analyse the document in order to produce your report and to operate the service.
You confirm you are entitled to upload each document and to have it processed by us, and that doing so does not breach a confidentiality obligation you owe to a third party.
How we store and protect uploads is set out on the Confidentiality page and in the Privacy Policy.
7.Acceptable use
- Do not upload malware, or content you have no right to share.
- Do not attempt to access another account's data, reverse engineer the service, or bypass usage limits.
- Do not resell, white-label or systematically scrape reports without a written agreement with us.
- Do not present a Pyrguard report as an independent certification, an accreditation, or as the assessment itself.
8.Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, third-party outages and upstream AI provider issues can interrupt it.
We improve the checking criteria over time as standards change and as users give feedback, so reports on the same document may differ between dates. Each report records the criteria and standard editions applied at the time it was produced.
We may change these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect.
9.Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of contracts, enforcement action, or losses arising from a decision made in reliance on a report. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
The service is provided to support professional judgement, not to replace it. You remain responsible for fire safety duties at your premises.
10.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
